OUR HISTORY

Equip Church is a vibrant, multicultural, multigenerational congregation planted in the heart of inner-city Phoenix, Arizona. Since 2005, our vision has been to reach the many hurting lives in our surrounding community and the greater Phoenix area with a message of hope, healing, and love.

We believe that the Church is called to be the hands and feet of Jesus—demonstrating the heart of God by loving all people unconditionally. That's why Equip Church exists: to equip people to know God, grow in faith, and live with purpose.

Our mission is rooted in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19–20) and grounded in Ephesians 4:12–13: to reach people, equip believers, and send them into their God-given purpose. We do this by helping people discover their identity in Christ, grow spiritually, and become strong, stable, consistent, fruitful, and faithful followers of Jesus.

Equip Church is a Bible-based church body that grows on the firm foundation of God's Word. Our approach is intentional—we believe every believer is called to grow as a worshiper, a disciple, and a builder of God's Kingdom. Through Spirit-led teaching, passionate worship, life-giving relationships, and hands-on ministry, we aim to cultivate a culture of excellence, generosity, servanthood, and unity.
